Lingara 轻译 is a browser extension that translates web content at the user's request.

Information Processed

Lingara may process the following information when you use translation features:

• Text you select or request to translate.
• YouTube subtitle text when you request subtitle translation.
• Visible page text and nearby page context when you request page or hover translation.
• Image data when you request image OCR or image translation.
• Extension settings, including backend URL, source language, target language, and translation preferences.

How Information Is Used

Information is used only to provide translation, OCR, subtitle parsing, and image text replacement features requested by the user.

Extension settings are stored in Chrome extension storage. Translation requests are sent to the configured backend service so the requested translation can be generated.

Information Sharing

Lingara does not sell user data. Lingara shares user-requested translation inputs with the configured backend service and its required service providers only as needed to provide translation, OCR, and image processing features.

Data Retention

Extension settings remain in Chrome extension storage until the user changes them or removes the extension. Backend processing and retention depend on the configured backend service. The default Lingara backend may use service logs and caches needed to operate translation features and diagnose reliability issues.

User Control

Users can change the backend URL, language settings, and translation preferences in the extension popup. Users can remove stored extension settings by uninstalling the extension or clearing extension data in Chrome.

Limited Use

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
